Paul Crumbie got in touch with us:
Going through my recently departed mother  in Laws things, I found an old clock, not in the best of condition. I was going to put it in the skip but gave it a quick wind and to my surprise, it sort of worked, on closer inspection,  parts of it, especially the face, do look quite old. It is branded on the face with J. PEABODY     Gt. WIGSTON.  I have tried researching this name on the old Internet but can find no reference to the name, can you help me with any information please, that might help me decide to keep/renovate or desoatch to the locate incinerator? Many thanks.

John Kirton from Australia got in touch:
I was hoping you could help me find some more information on my Ancestor, John KIRTON. I Believe he was born in Leicestershire in 1821. He Married Mary BARSON in 1840, in Derby. And they had a son. William Edwin KIRTON IN 1841. I Cannot seem to find any birth\ Baptism.  No record of death. He does not appear on the 1841 census with Mary and William.  I Cannot find him on any 1841 census, or any other census either. It's got me perplexed.  If you could be of any assistance, it would be greatly appreciated.
