Wigston is situated in the County of Leicestershire, 4 miles due south of Leicester city centre and is bounded by Leicester to the North, The main London Railway Line and the Grand Union Canal to the South, The River Sence to the West and the Main A6 London Road to the East.

In the past Wigston was known as “Wigston two Steeples” as the two steeples of All Saints and St Wistans Churches were visible to travellers from miles away. In addition there is also a tower on St Thomas’s church in South Wigston. The drawing at the head of the web site depicts the three monuments.
